PRAYER / Lenten Reflection 2005Friday, March 11, 2005 |
![]() |
The incident in today’s gospel reading comes after Jesus has twice made rather calm answers to his critics. Today, however, we hear that he cries out. What does this increased emotion tell us about Jesus’ deep desire to reach us whenever we experience a stubborn doubt? Notice that central to the dialogue is the matter of knowing him and his origins. If you say that you know Jesus, explain how.
Today, let us pray: Jesus, continue to strive with passion to bring us all into unity with you and with your origin in God. By the power of your Word, assault our nagging doubts and enfold us in your love.
