PRAYER / Lenten Reflection 2005Sunday, March 6, 2005 |

“Do not judge by appearances,” God warns Samuel in the first reading. In the Gospel, the Pharisees refuse to believe that Jesus, who has healed the man born blind, is from God, because in their eyes Jesus does not keep the Sabbath.
Is there someone in my life whom I am judging unfairly? Is there a situation that needs to be approached with new vision? Today I pray, “Give me new eyes so that, with the man cured by Jesus, I may proclaim, ‘I was blind, but now I see.’”
