PRAYER / Lenten Reflection 2005Sunday, February 20, 2005 |

It was reported that the poet and doctor William Carlos Williams used to carry a notepad around with him. On it was written, "Things I noticed today that I've missed until today."
The first time I noticed an aura around a person I was mesmerized. I couldn't take my eyes off that person and I immediately thought about the Transfiguration. How Peter, James, and John must have been mesmerized by the transformation of Jesus and how they must have felt so hopeful.
We are called to be attentive to all things around us – people, landscapes, water, animals, sky, clouds, even our technology. We can find the power of God in all.
How have I been transforming into Godliness? How can I be more holy this week?
