PRAYER / Lenten Reflection 2005 Wednesday, February 16, 2005

"Just as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites, so will the Son of Man be to this generation."

We are always being reminded to read the “signs of the times”, as we seek direction on our life’s journey. Hildegard of Bingen says, “Let these signs and wonders be the foundation on which you build, so as not to be shaken by fear or distracted from the love of God.” But we, too, are called to be a sign for our times – each in our small everyday world.

With Sophia Wisdom’s help, I will conduct a soul-search today to discover what sign I am to others. I will search out the things that keep me from being a needed sign to the people of this present age.
