PRAYER / Lenten Reflection 2005Monday, February 14, 2005 |

If I am to love my neighbor as myself, I need to look at how I love and care for my own gift of life. In a fitting way, I need to take care of my own hunger and thirst for a deeper relationship with my Creator. Will that not make me more attuned to the needs of my neighbors, more ready and willing to address their nakedness, thirst and hunger on all levels?
I will ignore neither my own needs nor those around me today. I will look closely at my motives behind my caring actions for others.
